LA rapper Westside Boogie has announced that he’s going on tour. On the morning of his 33rd birthday, the Compton native took to Twitter stating, “All I want for my birthday is some tacos and for ya’ll to come see me on tour.”

Since 2014’s Thirst 48, the rapper-songwriter has been known for bringing real life experiences into his music and has followed suit with his second studio album, More Black Superheroes, released this Summer. When asked about the meaning behind his album title, WS Boogie told The Breakfast Club, “It’s about the fact that I’m a survivor. I think as black men, we go outside in the world and we deal with so much stuff and just take it to the chin…I wanted to take this moment and give myself credit that I made it through these situations…by calling myself a superhero and also to show my kid that you could be a superhero.”

A Trip to the Corner Store host Dezzie Gee also expressed his support and excitement for the rappers first tour saying, “#MoreBlackSuperheroesTour will go down in history!”

The More Black Superheroes tour kicks off in Detroit, MI on September 17th featuring special guests Grip, Bobby Sessions and Dappa. Get your tickets at www.westsideboogie.com/tour.
